Events
Mrs. Minassian has various motivating opportunities for her students.
Two recitals throughout the year:
- Christmas Recital (held in December)
- Studio Recital (held in May)
There are also adjudicated events organized by Katy Music Teachers Association:
- Sonatina Festival (in the Fall)
- Student plays for a qualified judge, receives a critique sheet and a ribbon trophy.
- Those who receive Superior Plus are selected to perform in the Honor's Recital.
- Theory Test (in the Spring)
- Student is graded and according to his/her grade receives a medal (Gold, Silver or Bronze)
- Spring Festival (in the Spring)
- Student plays for a qualified judge, receives a critique sheet and a ribbon trophy.
- Those who receive Superior Plus are selected to perform in the Honor's Recital.
None of the above events are mandatory. However, she highly recommends participation because not only are they motivating, but they provide a goal for the student and are an assessment of his/her work.
